Cyber Power Rankings United States

In 2025, City University of Seattle (CityU) maintained a strong presence in the National Cyber League (NCL) Cyber Power Rankings, which reflect combined student performance in both individual and team competitions each season. The Cyber Power Rankings measure overall institutional performance across three areas: team results, individual results, and student participation.

CityU demonstrated significant growth throughout the year, improving its national ranking from #63 in the Spring 2025 season to #37 in the Fall 2025 season. One of the most notable gains was in student participation, with the Participation Rank rising from #142 in the Spring to #24 in the Fall. This increase highlights a substantial expansion in student engagement and competitive involvement.

By finishing #37 nationally in Fall 2025, CityU placed in the top 10 percent of the more than 500 colleges and universities that typically participate in the National Cyber League. These results reflect both the academic preparation of CityU students and the practical, hands-on experience gained through competitive cybersecurity challenges.
