As an NSA/DHS designated Center of Academic Excellence, CIAE adheres to high academic standards. Our new academic offerings are aligned to the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC) and the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Body of Knowledge standards. Our instructional design ensures students enrolled in STC courses, certificates, and degrees, have the tools, hands-on experience, and latest technological information. STC students are prepared to advance in their current career or transition into an emerging technology career.
CIAE is the umbrella for multiple opportunities for students to demonstrate and share their knowledge with others. Our student organizations such as Cybersecurity Club, Tech Club, and faculty-driven research groups such as Smart & Secure Computing Research Group are open to all CityU students. Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to attend club meetings in-person or virtually to learn more about computing and technology. Since COVID-19 club presentations and meetings are accessible remotely and presentations are recorded for future viewing. We realize our students work, have family and professional commitments. STC’s CIAE is working to increase accessibility to our activities.
