Invited Talk – Matt Raio
Matt Raio is a Senior IT Professional and author with three decades of experience specializing in networking and cybersecurity. He actively shapes the next generation of tech professionals as an Adjunct Professor, teaching CS340 Operating Systems at CityU-Seattle and SEC460 DevSecOps at Bellevue College. A recognized voice in the industry, Matt is the author of Project Self: Strategies to Mastering IT and the 2026 release Coding with Agentic AI, both available on Google Play Books. His significant contributions to the cybersecurity landscape include collaborating on the NIST/CISA SP800-53 framework, creating the innovative “Hurricane Model” for assessing AI risk, and developing the sandbox method during his tenure at GNS3.
In his upcoming presentation, Matt will explore how Agentic AI systems perceive, reason, and utilize tools to achieve autonomous goals. The lecture will break down the five NIST/CISA bot categories ranging from Category 1 Digital Creators to Category 4 Coordinated Teams—and evaluate them using his own “Hurricane Risk” levels. Ultimately, the workshop is designed to transition attendees into Agentic Engineers by adopting a “Shift Left” mentality. By treating Agentic AI as a powerful force multiplier, participants will learn how to leverage a new workflow where humans provide 20% of the high-level strategy while bots seamlessly handle 80% of the execution.
