PuPPy Meetup Event Engagement

City University of Seattle participated in a recent PuPPy (Puget Sound Programming Python) meetup event, which brought together approximately 60 participants, including several students from the School of Technology and Computing. The event provided a valuable opportunity to engage with the local tech community while promoting CityU’s academic programs and initiatives.

The meetup featured three expert speakers who delivered insightful presentations on emerging topics, including Quantum Computing with Python, AI-Augmented Reality, and Robot Operations. Through these sessions, attendees gained exposure to cutting-edge applications of Python across artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, and robotics.

Participation in the PuPPy meetup strengthened CityU’s connections with industry professionals and the broader technology community, while offering students meaningful learning opportunities beyond the classroom and reinforcing CityU’s commitment to experiential and community-engaged learning.
