2024 NCAE Cyber Games

🧑🏻‍💻 NCAE Cyber Games is a cyber security competition for college students who have never participated in a competition or hackathon before. Cyber competitions are a great way to build your skills and learn about the industry, but they can be intimidating if you’ve never tried one before. This program aims to make it easy (and fun) for students to see how competitions work and learn with others who are also new. In addition to building skills and exposure to industry tools, competitions can be used on resumes to show cybersecurity commitment and experience that employers and recruiters are looking for!

City University of Seattle wants to create a team with interested individuals for the 2024 games. Please attend a Cybersecurity Club Meeting or email Morgan Zantua if want to participate!

For more information about NCAE Cyber Games click here.

NCL Registration is OPEN!

CityU has participated in NCL several sessions in a row. Join a Cybersecurity Club Meeting to get more information on how to join the team. The National Cyber League is a great opportunity to not only expand your cybersecurity skills but also showcase hands on experience that you can use on your resume!

Volunteers Needed for PRCCDC!

The yearly Pacific Rim Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (PRCCDC), is open to two and four year colleges and universities and serves as the regional competition for the National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition. This event provides students with real world challenges while maintaining a corporate network.

Volunteers are needed for the success of this event! This even cannot take place without the support from industry partners and volunteers (like you!). Volunteers have the opportunity to contribute to a real world cybersecurity and information assurance experience not replicated in a typical classroom, while seeing how students work under pressure.

Register to volunteer here!

Cybersecurity Club and WiCyS Meeting Times

🚨 As we get ready for leadership changes and building attendance, WiCyS and Cybersecurity Club have decided to join forces by meeting together on Wednesdays at 4:30 PST during the Spring Quarter.

Google: Student Researcher, BS/MS, Winter/Summer 2024

🔹 Become a Noogler!🔹

The Student Researcher Program’s primary objective is to foster academic collaborations with students through research at Google. Join Google for a paid Student Researcher position that offers the opportunity to work directly with Google research scientists and engineers on research projects.

The Student Researcher Program offers more opportunities for research students to work on critical research projects at Google in a less structured way. The program allows opportunities beyond the limitations of our traditional internship program on aspects such as duration, time commitment, and working location (with options for on-site or remote). The topics student researchers work on tend to be open-ended and exploratory, and don’t always have a clear deliverable like a traditional internship would. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000-$116,000.
