Leadership in Action

Our STARTALK Korean language learners are encompassing reading, writing, and cultural exploration, and over the next 3 quarters students will focus on Cybersecurity and Python.

We gave our STARTALK students an inspiring experience by visiting Joint Base Lewis-McChord, fostering motivation among our students to persist in their Korean language journey. We showed our students the value of learning Korean to enhance their career prospects in the Washington National Guard or Active Duty. Very important in creating a bridge of communication, even in the Military

We would like to thank COL Thomas Pries, COL Angie Gentry, LTC Peter Kelley, and MAJ Sameer Puri for supporting the tour. To all the men and women in the Air Guard’s 262 and WADS and the Army Guard’s 341st Linguist Battalion, a special thank you from the STARTALK participants for sharing the benefits a career in the National Guard provides!

Additionally, last week we had a Trend Micro’s sponsored “Capture the Flag event” in our Seattle Campus. We would like to recognize Melissa Lee, chapter president, and Gabby Wargin, VP of CityU’s WiCyS club partaking in this CTF.

We would also like to thank Scarlett Menendez for this opportunity!
