Message From Leadership

Dr. Sam Chung, Dean of School of Technology and Computing (STC)

Did you have a good break before the start of the Spring quarter? My vacation was productive and provided a meaningful experience.

As everyone is aware, we know how important clear and precise communication is. This quarter, we will streamline communications among students, teaching assistants, instructors, and program managers by replacing 1:1 email communication with Microsoft Private Teams for each course. Whether you are taking an online course or the in-class section, this structure creates a cyber gathering place for all students, TAs, and instructors. Everyone can now communicate freely, ask questions, and build a learning community. Students can help other students, too. It will be a Coffee Talk in cyber for your courses regardless of the delivery methods – ON, IN, or MM.

You can find the link in your course shell. If you click “Syllabus, Schedule, and Course Team,” you can find the “Link to MS Private Teams.” Do not hesitate to join this channel.

Have a wonderful and productive Spring quarter.
